07-10-2006, 02:09 PM maz_java Joined on 12-14-2005 Damascus ya Rabi Posts 1,981 Rock...not Havey Metal i would like to make this room for the rock fans, so we can discuss the latest news about rock music,dowanloads,tabs and you're favorite bands...hope we can enjoy it....rock me all night long. i will start about my self i like: jimi hendrix, led zeppelin, pink floyd, the doors,bob marley, beatles, free, roy buchanan, bob dylan, thin lizzy, jeff beck,some of eric clapton, ccr, phish, jeffirson airplane, stevie ray voughan....and much more........alice in chains, pearl jam, audio slave, ben harper, some of herbie hancock... don't hesitate rock it.........   Jeremy the wicked...    Report

Rock is too general of a term and metal is included under it as a subgenre so you can't really excluded. joking aside there are some great bands in your list (except for Jefferson Airplanes :P) talented and very influential bands that deserve a thread on their own! Here in Dubai it is even worse. you cannot find a hang out place with decent rock musik it is all rap, techno  bla blah blah. exept for once a while a concert is held here, I have been to Chris De Burgh and Mark Knopfler  "Dire Straits" Concert It was the Best night of my life. but I missed Roger Waters, The Scorpions and Jethro Tull I'm still kinda of heavy metal fan, I went to theDubai Rock Festival the twice the past two years, they get very good bands, Sepultura, Testament, Megadeth, Within temptation. My fav bands are in no Particular order : Led Zep, Deep Purple, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Rainbow.... Led Zep has release awile ago  Led Zeppiln DVD: it has about five hours footage of concerts, interviews and two or three clips It is Amazing I advise every Rock Fan to Get it. and a Three CD Album "How the West Was Won" amazing performance for two concerts. improvising on stage etc.... whole lotta love is extended into 25 min the same goes for my ever fav song Dazed and Confused. if you can find it get it I give 5/5 Personally I like quiet music just as much as I like loud music    Report

(It's in many languages so you can pick the language you want). I never Liked Dimmu Borgir or Cradle of filth and similar stuff. My favourie bands were Anathem, My dying Bride and Moonspel.
