but if you don't mind all of you .. im going to discuss something more general than hitting wives
which is marriage itself ..
marriage is a very great thing once you really understand what it's all about ..
it's about partnership .. it's about being a one soul within two bodies ..it's about understanding each other and work as a company for two .. it's not about love it's not about romance .. not about just an animal kind of relationship or only a one night stand .. it's not only having babies and bring some of your own trip to earth !!!
islam told us very much about marriage but unfortunately we don't have a fooly understandood view on what is it all about .. YES .. somehow some of the religious texts refers to such a thing .. but all of them suggested hitting as a final act.. if the misbehavior of the women continues .. like cheating or doing awful things
but if we really look deeply in it not mentioning the religious point of view .. now days we have animal rights and even rodent and insects rights .. but till now we don't have women rights in our country

why when someguy marries somegirl he feels that he has the fool control of his wife .. he can forbid her from study, work or even her own parents !!!!!!!!!!

and what really makes me mad .. is the girls themselves ...
most of them all they can ever think about is how they can find true love and a man with extremely good money and looks .. it's their absolute dreams !!!!!!
they don't think of their future as a part of this world or even their impact that they can change the face of the world with ..
they don't trust their ability to do things other than just having babies, diapering , breast feeding , taking care of the man and his children !!!!
and that made men even more and more underestimating the women rights and abilities ..
so untill we ( females ) really wake up and make use of ourselves and not only a sex sympol .. we can ask for our human rights ..

i don't fully understand it eiather and i never did like it
but islam has nothing to do with it .. islam didn't tell the people to control their wives
and islam didn't tell the men to forbid their wives from studing
it encourged them to do all kind suitable activites
but what really resulted the topic your brought up was our fucked up arabic traditions that is
it's not from islam to control the wives and treat her like slave to make food and babes and to have sex with her it wasn't islam did that it was our old worthless traditions and some of the shovel heads that still
wanna hold tight to that tradtions cause it's for their profit
