Jesus, our Friend, knows what is best for us. Life has this strange feature; I cannot know the day, the twisting and turning of my variable way. My situation shifts with incredible speed; security or wealth swings to frustrated need. One moment, fulfillment, health of body and soul; then sudden upheaval, and life demands its toll. I pay with aching grief, clutching my broken heart, and then Jesus whispers, "Child you're set apart." "Changes will work for good, magnify My Great Name! When this trial has passed, you will not be the same." At last, I understand that he designs for me pressures to mold and shape me to what I need to be. The lesson I must learn, regardless of my way, is simple, loving TRUST in Him who plans each day. I give thanks to Him in everything. My eyes are on His Face. The battle is His; The victory is mine; He will help win the race! WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED God has not promised skies always blue, flower-strewn pathways all our lives through. God has not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
